During the Farnborough International Air Show near London in July, 2016, Norsk Titanium confirmed that Plattsburgh had been selected as the location for the world’s first industrial scale high-technology manufacturing plant for titanium aerospace components.  The company plans to invest $1 billion during the first 10 years of operations.  The Norwegian company hired Senior Vice President Operations Christopher Bohlmann to lead the establishment of the manufacturing plant.  He was in Plattsburgh the first week of August to participate in a workforce development forum and spoke about the company’s plans.
