November 21, 2016

Mtl Cool, a Canadian manufacturer of point-of-sale coolers and freezers, has opened a 5,000-square-foot warehouse and distribution space in the Development Corp.’s Banker Road Industrial Park.

The company is a division of Mtl Technologies, based in Chambly, Quebec.

“It’s been a good experience so far,”┬áMtl Technologies President Mark Bedard said.

Mtl Cool’s products feature a modern design and use environmentally friendly coolants, augmented by bright, colorful renditions of the client’s branding and logos.

Bedard said about 95 percent of the company’s sales are to the U.S. market.

“We are a tiny company with an impressive list of clients,” he said. “We have great clients. We want to get closer to that market.”

That list includes corporations such as Dannon, Safeway, General Mills, Unilever and Kroger.
