Bombardier: Restructuring won’t hurt Plattsburgh

Bombardier layoffs, as part of its five-year restructuring plan, are not expected to negatively affect the company’s Plattsburgh operation. “Today’s announcement has no negative impact on employment at our site at Plattsburgh, where our activities include producing cars for New York City Transit and San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District,” said Bombardier spokeswoman Maryanne Roberts.  “The current level of employment there is about 200 and will be increasing as production ramps up on those two projects.”
