The Development Corporation is excited to announce the construction of an administrative office building which will become their new permanent office space. This 5,000 SF building will be located on TDC property in Air Industrial Park on the former county airport on Industrial Boulevard.
“Having our office in the Air Industrial Park was important to us”, comments TDC President and CEO David Champagne. “Our new space will be closer to the majority of our properties, allowing us to better serve current and prospective tenants and better position us for future growth”. The building will be constructed by Luck Brothers with a design that will honor the region and our commitment to industrial spaces.
This free-standing building will consist of office space for the staff, two conference rooms for board meetings and prospective tenant conversations as well as an outdoor space for events and gatherings. When the COVID-19 crisis is a thing of the past, TDC plans to continue allowing tenants to use their meeting space to hold meetings outside of their buildings. The conference rooms will also feature local artwork provided by the Strand Center for the Arts off-site gallery program. “As part of our mission to support our business community and create jobs, it was important for our office space to be an extension of that,” remarked Champagne.
TDC is set to break ground in May of 2020 and plans to be completed by the end of the year.
Prior to this, the most recent building that TDC helped to construct is leased to WABTEC/Vapor Stone Rail at 37 Arizona Avenue. Learn more about that building HERE.
