Advanced Manufacturing Institute to open in the Fall of 2017

The new Advanced Manufacturing Institute at Clinton Community College is expected to open by the fall of 2017.

Clinton Community College Assistant Professor of Manufacturing Technology Kristopher Renadette, who is also coordinator for the Advanced Manufacturing Institute project, said plans call for ground-breaking sometime this spring, with the yet-to-be determined start date dependent on the weather.

Speaking at the third-annual Technology Conference and Career Fair at the college, he said work is expected to progress through the summer.

Students should see a significant structure under construction when they return for fall classes, Renadette said, and it will open about a year later.

“It’s a very quick timeline,” he said.
