North Country wins $64.9 million in state funding

The North Country Regional Economic Development Council won $64.9 million Wednesday in the seventh round of state funding disbursements.

The money will fund 81 projects in the North Country.

Although the region was not a top winner this round, the funds it received were on par with New York City, Rochester and Buffalo.

Danielle Johnson has been named first director of the North American Center of Excellence for Transportation Equipment.
